Story for the Worker

dating is something that people do from time to time. It is important that you feel beautiful and stunning if you are going on a date, because if you look like you have just been dragged through a hedge backwards and smell of all sorts of terrible things then your prospective date will most likely turn you down flat. That is if they don't do the decent thing and kill you right there and then.

I rarely feel either beautiful or Stunning, but that's just me and you'll probably have no trouble in thatdepartment. I'd bet anything at all that you look absolutely terrific. Of course, you might not, but that's between you and God and I want no part of it. If indeed you do Feel Beautiful and stunning then that's fine; good luck to you, fantastic.

I'd now like to talk about someone who felt like neither of these things. His name was Bertie the Bird, and he lived in a tree (any particular one, it doesn't really matter) going about his daily life in the way that all birds do. One day, he spotted something so peculiar that no matter how he tried he just couldn't understand what on Earth it was. So, he decided that the best course of action he could possibly take would be to attack it without mercy until it either fell apart or died.

He hired a supersonic jet fighter and began his devastating rocket attack on the unknown thing, blasting at it with everything at his disposal, but still it stubbornly refused to not exist any more. He was growing frustrated with his lack of progress, and decided that there was only one thing he could do that didn't involve going to Australia, marrying a koala and running for President.

He went up to the big unknown thing and tried to talk to it, but this was a foolish move on Bertie the Bird's part because it was in fact an alligator and it ate him. The moral of this story is that you should never underestimate things you don't understand, cos they'll eat you.
