Story for the Worker

Paul was tired of the regular way in which he met women, going to a bar, having a drink, a Dance then a long embrace before maybe an invite back for coffee. He had met a few nice young ladies that way but they always seemed drift apart quite quickly, ending in the usual your nice / cute but not my type of guy.

He had heard people talk about online dating but had never really thought much about it, he had seen enough adverts on the internet promoting different sites, even on the television. Paul decided to embrace this new method of dating and clicked on a link.

At first he was put off by the amount of information he had to enter but persevered through, filling out his likes and dislikes and what he hoped to find in a partner. 'At least' he thought 'I will know if we have any common interests before we meet'. He added a picture to his profile choosing one of his better ones, taken when he was going to a wedding dance at a posh hotel in Edinburgh.

Once he completed his profile, he had a browse of the members already registered with the site, to see if any tickled his fancy, he noticed a few cute looking ladies whom he added to his 'hot list', intending to come back to them and possibly drop them a line.

A few days later Paul logged back into the site to see if he had any replies to his profile, he was amazed to see a number of emails waiting for him in his inbox, so he went in to check them out. A couple were scammers who had managed to create profiles that would be ideal for most men, claiming they were stunning loved to dance and take time over having a loving Embrace. Thankfully Paul was not taken in by these profiles and he continued to browse the emails, one stood out beyond the rest, in fact it was one of the profile he had thought was cute and had added to his hot list. He replied to it straight away giving a bit more description of him and asking a few questions to see if he might have actually found his true love.
