Story for the Worker

Having been divorced for several years and no children. Carol decided she needed something new and exciting. Something different. Someone to cuddle up with in front of the television after work. She wanted to find her soul mate. So, she decided to join an online dating website, in hope it will help her find her true soul mate.

Once she was registered with an online dating service, she started to browse through some profiles. There was a few cute guys but their profiles wasn't great until she came across Dean's profile and thought he was very cute and his profile was interesting and it seems like they both have a lot in common. So she decided to leave him a message.

Carol checked her messages every day in hope that Dean has replied, but with no luck, he hasn't, she thought that maybe he's too busy or he may have already found someone or he hasn't seen her message. All sorts of excuses were whirling in her mind. She decided to continue browsing through more profiles and not set her heart on Dean.

A week later, Carol checked her messages and to her surprise, she has received a message from Dean. He apologised for the delay in his reply to her message as he was taking care of his mum due to a fall. They spent the next two weeks messaging each other and finally agreed to meet. To both their surprise, they only lived a few streets away from each other and agreed to meet in a cafe nearby.

Carol, couldn't wait to meet him in the flesh. Her mind was whirling with all sorts of thoughts. Is he as cute as he is in his picture? Is she falling for him?

Finally the day came, Carol sat nervously in the cafe, she was fifteen minutes early. As she sipped her coffee, gazing out the window, wondering what their meeting would be like and whether they will start a relationship.

Dean finally arrived twenty minutes later, he gave Carol a cuddle, apologizing for his lateness and as they chatted like they have known each other all their lives, they decided to start a relationship between them.

By the time Carol got home, she couldn't stop thinking about Dean, she was certain he was her soul mate. She still couldn't believe her luck, she now has someone to cuddle up with in front of the television, her soul mate.
