Story for the Worker

The room was dark. We found ourselves caressing each others bodies all through the night. Then it was dawn and a crack of sunlight peeked through the curtains. It was a wonderful occasion. Then suddenly go go blaster bots from mars attacked the city. The city was turned to burning rubble. I was furious at the robots. I went outside in my bathrobe and shouted at them, "Evil robots return whence you came, leave me and my girlfriend alone. It is our holidays and we only have three days left before we must go back to work. Leave us please." The robots apologised and headed back to the planet zog whence they came. I then returned to my love and we had sex by candle light. Then we got up the next morning and had breakfast in the ruined restaurant adjacent to the hotel. But the smell of burning rubble was quickly clouded out by the lovely aroma of the scented candles we were using to have our breakfast by candle light. We went to the beach afterwards then and lay down to soak up the rays by a demolished robot. We quickly started caressing each other and made love on the beach as the smouldering ruins of civilisation sat around us. My friend was right to suggest dating again. I had not dated for many years since my wife died and was afraid of dating single. So I never did. But with a bit of encouragement from my friend I found my true love and we had much fun throughout the evening and night together. We would have a home cooked meal by candle light and then retire to our chambers and would kiss each and other caress each other for the rest of the night. I had never been encapsulated in such love before. Throughout the night there was much kissing and caressing and love making. But then the robots came back and interrupted our night together once more. So I went to my closet and took out my portable laser cannon. I then made my way to the roof and fired at the go go blaster bots. They were quickly destroyed, their burning wreckage setting off many fires across the city.
