Story for the Worker

That one brief encounter after talking through email with our online dating site for months was all that I needed to know that he was the one. Had I ever seen such a stunning man? He seemed to think the same of me, as his eyes would not come off me. He later became my husband. He proposed on a moonlit garden walk. I was unsuspecting. He likes to keep things that way. Everything is a surprise. It keeps the relationship a mystery, each new step a journey.We were married at sunset on the beach of a river. It was a small, but romantic evening. My new husband kissed me after we said, "I do." It was the first moment of our new lives as one. It is amazing how after that brief encounter my life turned better than I could have ever imagined. I could not go through the long road called life without him by my side. He makes every trouble, no matter how difficult, go away. I may yell myself dry at him for all the troubles of the world and he still would not care. I wish to spend my life with him. Without him, I have no life. I lose my life if he goes away.It was my turn to surprise him the day that I got pregnant. We had not been expecting, or even trying to conceive a baby. It opened up another door of life. Unprepared as we were, I gave birth to a stunning baby girl. My husband and I welcomed her into the world, the first of our children. We have had a wonderful life together. We raised our children and spent many great and long years getting them ready for the world outside of out home. They are not children anymore. We have grandchildren now.I have spent the majority of my life in his arms. They are the one place that I feel safe and content. Funny how that brief encounter was the beginning of my life. That one stunning moment, playing forever on in his eyes when he looks at me.
