Story for the Worker

The first leaves fall in endless darkness,shadows shifted on walls behind the bright moonlight.Bonnie strolled along the bridge near a forest.After ten minutes of walking she found herself lost in deep swirls of mist.She turned back to the way she came from and start retracing her steps.Walking on she heard singing,

"Swinging,swinging the dead man is swinging on the tree.Have you seen him he is smiling beside me.I took his soul and caress it,like the first love of summer breeze."

Bonnie turned around,looking into the mist hoping to see who is singing.She tucked her hands in her jacket.Walking on ignoring the voice,she was stopped in her tracks as an icy hand grip her right shoulder.A girl voice whisper in her ear,

"Have you seen the swinging man?He is smiling but he can't see you."

Bonnie gave a shout and ran with all her might,she stumbled over a rock and squealed.Her knee was cut,her hand brushed her knee and touched watery substance.She held in her tears and stood up,she lost her sense of direction and wandered around.Finally she saw dim light ahead.Walking on she found a cottage,knocking on the door she waited.An old lady opened the door and let her in.The old lady covered her in shawls and set her beside the fire place.Bonnie was given a white cloth to cover her knee wound.A cup of smooth coco chocolate was given to her,finally the old lady spoke,

"How did you end up here child?".Bonnie swallowed mouthful of that delicious drink then spoke,

"I was walking along the bridge by the forest,without knowing i lost myself in the forest.I heard a girl singing then i fall down and cut myself.I was scared so i ran then found myself in front of your house.But why did you stay here all alone grandma?".The old lady looked at her in the eye and said,

"I didn't choose to be here,i lost my way many years ago and end up in this little cottage where an old lady took me in.And no matter how i tried to find a way out i still end up here.".Bonnie was shocked hearing the old lady answer.Bonnie look at the grandma with frightened eyes and asked,

"Did the old lady that took you in lost her way too?".Old lady nod her head slowly.".Bonnie turned white in the face while the old lady smile.

"It's all right darling,you'll get used to it.".And the old lady smiled.
