Last night, our light went out. The whole city was dark with no elect

Last night, our light went out. The whole city was dark with no electricity. So my family sat down in the living room with candles flickering on the centre table. My family started telling stories until my children asked me to narrate to them how I met and married their father. I feel young again with the thought and smiled quietly.
My love story all started when I transferred during my last year of my high school life. During these years, I can say I had many suitors. Although, I am not that beautiful compared to others but I do have a charisma that attracts the opposite sex. I say this because many of my friends and classmates have that gorgeous looks yet they appear boring to our male counterparts. Indeed, some male classmates describe them as stunningly beautiful but they do not have that sexual attractiveness refraining them from experiencing dating.
Anyway, a classmate from the same section as mine started to court me then. At first, I do not actually like him as there are more good looking guys too trying their luck. However, because of his perseverance and honest intention, it gave me the idea that he might be a good match for my personality. We started dating with our friends as our chaperons. Movie Theater had been active during those times, so we are fans of those places. We had been to parks to stroll holding hands. We enjoyed going to the river for a swim until finally he became my steady boyfriend.
Graduation came and we departed for our higher studies. My boyfriend went to a farther city while I stayed in another place. Though this is the case, we were still lovers separated miles away. Semester break is the only time we see each other and go on dating again. This went on until we graduated from our college degrees. This is the defining moment we really love each other despite the long years of distant love. It seems our soul is one. Now we no longer consider each other as boyfriend or girlfriend but husband and wife.
We are blessed with four lovely children, Karl, Kyra, Kacey and Kraig. All of them are thinking of finishing their studies too before going on dating and settling for someone they love too.
One thing that keeps our soul together as husband and wife without too much trouble is the understanding and respect we give each other. I accepted him as who he is and he do the same.
